Easter & Spring Bunny Day

We had a busy and fun weekend. Ben had his first egg hunt in the sanctuary at church. He loved collecting a basket full of plastic eggs then dumping them in and out of the basket all afternoon.

Saturday we celebrated Spring Bunny Day (a Watson family tradition) and had some friends over for an egg hunt in our backyard. This time around Ben was much more mellow and was interested in watching everyone else than hunting for eggs.

The Easter service on Sunday was gorgeous, the music was inspiring and the sermon was great (as usual!). After our traditional Sunday nap we headed over to our friends home for an afternoon of sunshine and bubbles.

We are cherishing these last days together of just the three of us before the little one arrives.

Big Boy

Ben loves to blow kisses to everyone and everything. He blows kisses to mommy and daddy, to the trees, to dogs, to the cat, to the atm machine, to his crib and to all the ladies at church (he knows how to get them to sneak him bites of cookie) and the favorite, of course- to his reflection in the mirror.

He also is very proud of his self-feeding skills. Is that pride well founded??...well judge for yourself from these photos!

Ben also had his first trip to the dentist. He was fine until we went into the exam room and there was a seven year old getting his teeth cleaned screaming bloody murder. Beemer screamed throughout his exam and then was fine and had on his "I am a very brave boy" face.

This kid definitely keeps us laughing.

Calm Before the Storm

We are trying to get organized, have some fun and get as much sleep as possible before the chaos of a new baby and all Leah's medical stuff hits in a couple of months.

Ben knows something is up around Casa Watson, he has become a huge mama's boy and loves to cuddle with Leah's belly. His favorite word right now is UH-OH...we hear it at least one hundred times a day.

We are getting a few sneak peeks of spring. There is truth to the saying about Carolina blue skies...they are pure and beautiful...now if we could only get some green trees to go with them!
