Country Boy & The Cat

Yesterday was a beautiful North Carolina Spring day. We spent the afternoon with our friends at their gorgeous property outside of town. Ben loved the swing and the sandbox.

As many of you know, our dear little cat Audrey became ill and passed away right after Ben was born. We still miss her. Mr. Edwards wasn't sure what to make of all this change at once. Ben is fascinated by the cat. Mr. Edwards is bewildered by Ben. Over the past couple of months Mr. Edwards has started to see that Ben is a very special creature that is here to stay. The cat now joins us at Ben's crib side every night for prayers, guards the door when the baby is sleeping and even gives Ben kisses every now and then. Ben is gaining on him, but as of today Mr. Edwards still weighs more than the kid.

Welcome to the Family

This past weekend was Benjamin's baptism. It was a special day celebrating his place in God's family. It is a sacrament that celebrates God loving Ben and choosing to bring him into our family and the family of faith. We made a promise to God so raise Ben in the faith and the congregation make a commitment to God and to our family to help nurture and raise Ben to follow Jesus. Mark had the honor of baptising his son and it is a moment our family will always cherish. Mark's parents and our dear friends David & Judy were there to celebrate the special day. Welcome to the family Ben- we love you!!!

Six Months

Easter Sunday was Ben's six month birthday, we celebrated by taking him to the doctor on Monday for his check-up and shots (I know, we went all out for this kid!). We love him with all our heart- that pretty much sums it up.

Spring Bunny

A Watson family tradition has always been to celebrate Spring Bunny Day and Easter. It allows Easter Sunday to be a day of worship and celebration centered on Christ and church. Spring Bunny Day is all about the neon peep marshmallow chicks and chocolate bunnies-for Mark & Leah anyway! From Casa Watson to you- HAPPY SPRING BUNNY DAY!
