This past month whenever Ben sees a pumpkin, or anything resembling a pumpkin, he points and exclaims "Halloween Pumpkin!" It is crazy to remember that last Halloween Ben wasn't walking and Clara was a peanut living in mom's tummy.
Ben is starting to comprehend holidays and the chance to relive our own childhood memories with our family and see it fresh through their eyes is amazing.
We had our usual crew over for trick or treating-Ivy, Noah, Owen and their parents. It is wonderful to build traditions together and watch them grow. Ben got a kick out of trick or treating, the kid loves to proclaim "trick or treat, candy"...and hopefully "thank you." Clara was delighted watching all the activity and kids, she even scored a few kisses from the twins.
We are so mindful of our blessings, the beauty and joy of our simple little life. So in the words of Ben's daily prayer, "Dear God. Thank you. Amen."
