Camp Christmas

We have dubbed the last couple of weeks "Camp Christmas" because it has been as stuffed as Santa's toy bag with activities to celebrate the season. There are lots of pictures here, a small offering to family who are far away from these Christmas time cuties.

Clara posing for pizza picnic night.

We started a new Christmas tradition, Hands of Grace, a day where we perform a service project as a family in honor of our niece/cousin, Grace.  We visited a handful of parishioners from our church at the retirement home.  The kids did a great job of spreading some sunshine.

This chair often becomes a spaceship, the Mayflower, a wagon, a house...

Hot cocoa picnic by the tree reading Christmas books.

Clara being cute at church.

Our first family fondue night was a big hit.

Advent family time included a heated hunt for the nativity characters all over the house and Clara singing  "Away in a Manger."  As the kids blew out the advent candles they each made a wish for the world — joy, hope, love and peace.

Sugar cookies!

"Stained Glass" window art project.

Local theatre production of "The Littlest Angel."  They loved it.

Making (and nibbling lots along the way) candy cottages.

Ben: “Clara, when we get older we aren’t going to marry each other.  We are just going to call each other all the time, live in the same town and see each other every day. OK?”

Clara: "OK, Ben Ben."

Best present ever.
